My how-to Turning Memories Into Memoirs / A handbook for Writing Lifestories has sold more than 35,000 copies. (I lose the exact number because of the ebooks which are harder to count.)
For me that was a best seller. Not Stephen King numbers but since it is independently published, it has supported me. The profit was sometimes everything after the printing cost and sometimes as low as 50% of the post printing cost. Not bad. If I estimate the earning at a low figure of only $10 per book (but sometimes as high as $20), I am satisfied with my returns.
Making sure your forward facing content is in tip of top shape makes a huge difference!
Plus marketing it, if people aren't reading it, they aren't finishing it.
If they aren't finishing it, they probably aren't making any changes.
If they aren't making any changes is your book having an impact?
That is the question.
