Why Missing A Few Days Isn't A Big Deal
Hustle Culture tells Writers we need to be online everyday, but...
We don’t.
We don’t need to be online daily, which is okay.
In my last post, I shared about doing a 30-day publishing challenge. Yes, I write and publish nearly every day. Yet, if you miss a day, two days, or even three, it’s okay.
The key is learning to become consistent.
Pushing ourselves is good. And it is essential sometimes. Like my 30-day challenge to start January is an excellent way to push yourself to your limits to start the year off in a way that helps you see how consistency works well.
However, even if you miss days in a challenge, the key is to keep going.
That is what makes you consistent.
Yet, we think what will make us consistent is the fact that we publish daily for 30 days. But the truth is that you worked at it for 30 days.
And that is what I want to encourage you with today. Writing consistently is the key, especially if you want to write and publish a book.
That is why I think doing a writing challenge at the beginning of the year is helpful. It will create space for you to build a habit to help you grow an audience and write a book.
Get out there and keep going.
Don’t worry if you have missed a day or two already. Return to the keyboard today, write your next short post, and keep moving. You’ve got this!

Well said man!
“Writing consistently is the key, especially if you want to write and publish a book.”
Funny how many other activities get in the way of writing, but we kind of have to do them. Gotta engage on platforms. Gotta keep social media profiles updates. Gotta keep on top of the bookkeeping or we lose tax write offs. Gotta read other's pieces. Gotta upgrade skills by reading 10 other newsletters that claim to have the answers about how to run newsletters, lol.
