I know the feeling about writing more concise things. I've been practicing a lot more on Medium with shorter content with high value. Sometimes I hit it. Sometimes I don't.
I marketed Main Street, a Gables and Gingerbread Story, as a working woman’s novel at a whopping 100 pages. I thought it would be great for book clubs because it deals with prejudice, isolationism and hope in that small package.
It’s the one that garners interest and it is only ten dollars. My top seller. Also an historical novel based on my hometown and the house I grew up that everyone loves. Problem, people pass it around instead of buying their own.
I agree with you. I find short reads easier, I just have a heck of a time writing short. I'm working on it though. Thanks for the post.
