Good morning!
This week, I wanted to share a few projects I am working on, but not making a huge focus. And I wanted to see what you thought on the topic as well. And I am sure you know where this is going by the title.
YouTube
I have, on several occasions played around with YouTube. Never really sticking with it. But I have this deep feeling it could be a huge part of my writing and publishing business if I got into it a little more.
After all, I watch YouTube when I need to learn something specific or when I want to start gathering information on a new project. So, I know that what I have to share could be useful, but I have never felt confident enough to try and polish these videos.
And then I watched this video:
And it got me thinking, maybe I can do this without being over the top polished on the videos. I mean, if other people can do it from one takes and with their phones, why can’t I?
So, I have updated my YouTube Channel: The Minimalist Author YouTube
On it, I will share about atomic content creation, mini book publishing, and self-publishing on Amazon KDP. And along the way, I will try and share behind-the-scene updates.
Behind-the-Scenes Update!
This week, I just popped over the top of 30,000 book orders since I started in 2019. I love to celebrate these milestones because each one is special to me. It reminds me that people have enjoyed my books enough that they will buy more of them.
I know that this number is not individuals. I know there are a lot of people who have purchased multiple books from me. And I know they will come back and buy others. But each book is an opportunity to help people. And I love that I have had 30,000 opportunities to help people.
I published a fiction book!
I’m not going to share this book because I have published it under a pen name (mostly to allow for the books take off themselves and because I don’t want my name associated with it if it really sucks).
I did one of my free book promotions to start sharing it, and so far, I have had 239 downloads plus a few purchases before the free promotion went into affect.
I’m excited to see how the book does and see if I can get some positive reviews. This is one of those projects that I have done over and over again and finally decide it was time to publish one and see what happens.
7-Day Mini Book Challenge
Alright, last thing I wanted to share was a mini book about mini books. I know, so meta. But, I was reviewing the polls that I have had over the last few months and some of the conversations I have had and thought it was time to share a little knowledge on creating mini books.
So, I created the 7-Day Mini Book Challenge.
With the challenge, I share how you can go from idea to income in just seven days. And what is really fun is that this mini-book followed this strategy and it has sold every day since I launched it.
I’d encourage you to check it out and give it a try!
