I love Atticus, have used it for my last 4 books, and am planning on using it for the next 16 I have planned and beyond.

Get some! I've used it for the next one, I'm looking forward to see what the print and digital versions look like. But I am really loving what I see so far!

16 books already planned…

I bow to you. 🙇‍♀️

Thanks Andrea, planning them is the easy part, now I have to get them written and published 😂

I’ll read with expectations. I need something different. My Microsoft is wonky. I want an Apple tablet or maybe just MacBook? Techno, the little demon, has never been my friend. Maybe this will help take authority over him, release him and transfer my dream back to me. Formatting and publishing hinders my confidence.

Part of the reason I am wanting to switch to Atticus is that I can use it on an iPad which my old program required the MacBook. So, I am excited to see how it turns out.

The first book I'm using with it will be out this month, so I am excited to see my final product on them both in print and in on Kindle.

I'm always looking for a great program, and if it works well, I always love to share the love!

I've had an account with Designrr for years but haven't used it to make an ebook for so long that I don't remember. Now, they have added AI tools to make it even easier. I plan to make one soon. I'll let you know how that goes. It doesn't work for physical books, as far as I know. I look forward to hearing how you do with this program.

I have a Designrr account too, but have always struggled with it. It was really good with creating lead magnets, but I never could get it to work well for books.

Have you tried using it recently? They have a new Wordgenie AI app that's supposed to make it really easy to create ebooks. I haven't tried it yet. I'm in the middle of trying to get my website in order and promote my substack newsletter. I'm involved in classes for both, and I'm a bit overwhelmed. 🙄

I have used Atticus for my 2 books - It just makes it so easy.

I love that it is a lifetime price.

And cheap for what you get.

Yes, I love the lifetime price and that it is less then Vellum, which I have used for the first 15 books, but I think this will be much better for what I do.

Atticus isn't software that I've ever heard about, so thank you for that 😉 That's being documented in Tana right now.

IMHO, I am looking forward to finding out if you agree with Chris Stanley on the "amaze"-ment scale 🤔 or ❌

So far, I love the ease of use and that I can use it with my iPad since I do a lot of work on that as well. And since my kids are taking over my MacBook now.

Oh really? They must be as addicted to their screens and video games 🤪 like my little sister and brother (they are much, much, MUCH younger than their big sis that's ancient now 📜).

All I can say is that between the arrival of dial up internet to fiber-optic type of global reach, more social media platforms, the decrease of the American attention span is zilch since everyone's trying their best to go viral, become famous, and I'm pretty sure you already know the rest and have most likely published a book on the first hand experience (have I spotted the Parenting Guide Dads & Moms with children that have been working through Education On Zoom).

Think about it and feel free to steel & tweak it for your audience 😉

I use Scrivner to do my writing and formatting. I'm sure there are easier things out there but yeah that's what I've used.

I've completed several books for clients using Atticus. It's a fantastic app! However, do some research into the tips and tricks. Some things aren't intuitive and Atticus doesn't necessarily behave like a normal word processing app or like Scrivener. I haven't tried it for a print book (yet) but it definitely creates some super pretty ebooks! And if it does create a fine looking print book, then all the better, because I'm currently using InDesign and I hate it with a fierce passion!
