I believe we are living in a new era of content creation.
I call it the Atomic Content Revolution.
What do I mean by that? What is the atomic content revolution? Well, to put it simply, it is:
It is content that we create in a bite-sized, super helpful manner, that is easy for a reader to digest and act upon.
It can take many forms, such as a blog, email newsletter, social media post, or podcast.
These avenues can build into writing minimalist books, creating minimalist courses, or even doing simple communities.
So, I want you to consider joining the revolution.
Note: The rest of this newsletter today will give you a behind-the-scenes look at what I am working on to create my author platform, write books, and share as much self-publishing information as possible.
12 Books in 12 Months Challenge: Update
In other news, I am almost ready to publish my next book in the 12 Books in 12 Months Challenge. This book will follow my Christian faith writing and focus on Spiritual Disciplines.
I’m finishing the print formatting and waiting on proof of my book. And my goal today is to get the Kindle version ready to publish, which I will share once it has been published on Coffee with Jesus. This book is #5 in the lineup.
Also, I want to thank you!
I want to thank everyone who picked up a copy of book #4 in the challenge, The Minimalist Author. Since its publication, it has had over 1,000 orders and is still getting a lot of daily traction.
If you read the book, please jump over and leave a review. I would really appreciate it; it makes all the difference when people decide whether to pick it up.
I started a Podcast!
I recently started The Minimalist Author podcast and would love for you to check it out:
I have played around with podcasts, but lately, as I have realized that atomic/minimalist content is the new frontier, I have decided to start one that aims to be only five minutes long.
Check it out today: The Minimalist Author Podcast.
Self-Publishing Daily
At the beginning of the year, I started an atomic newsletter called Self-Publishing Daily. I created daily posts, Monday through Friday, sharing my articles, the articles of other creators, and a specialty topic.
It fizzled out because I was using a different platform that I wasn’t comfortable with, and it was just one more place I would need to log in and create.
Well, this week, I decided to bring Self-Publishing Daily to Substack. I will stick to the format that it was before, but the best part is that it will be right here, all in one place, and I think it will be really fun to get back in the saddle with it.
I’d love for you to check it out: Self-Publishing Daily
Alright, that is everything for today. I know this was mostly updates, but I wanted to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what I am working on and keep you updated on all the ways we can create together.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a great weekend!
J.R. Heimbigner
My name is J.R. Heimbigner and I am a #1 Bestselling Author on Amazon with 13 self-published books. I have two things I want to share with you:
A short book on to help you use your Substack posts to write books.
The First Draft Masterclass. I share exactly how to write your first draft so you can get that book published!
Have a book already? See how I can promote it with my newsletter!
P.S. There may be sales or affiliate links in this post. So, I might get a little kick back if you purchase anything. Thank you in advance!
this is great! I’ve been advising clients to create “short but impactful” content and I love seeing validation to that thought. It’s easier to do AND better for the audience.
Loving all of this Jack!
