How To Write The First Draft Of Your Book Even If Life Is Busy
If you can complete this, you will publish your book
Writing and publishing a book is the hardest part of writing your first draft. Yes, editing can be tricky. Sure, finding a cover designer can be challenging.
But writing that first draft is by far the most challenging part. Writing that first draft has been a chore with every single one of my books on Amazon and Gumroad.
Not because I don't like writing, I love it. But making it happen is hard sometimes. It's not the same as writing blog posts.
The care for writing the first draft always seems to be more difficult. Maybe it's because I know that I will need to edit it in the end.
What I have learned is that most people never finish their first draft. Here are a few reasons why:
They don't have a clear vision for what they are writing.
It takes time, research, and focus.
They are balancing the rest of their life and writing on the side.
Fear keeps them from finishing what they started.
They have writing ADD and move on to something else.
These are a few reasons people don't finish writing their first draft. The trouble is that you need a first draft to publish a book.
So, most people let that first draft disappear into their computer space's unknown regions and never return to it.
