Learn about what it looks like to be a self-published author and creator
Dear Reader,
I am starting a new project which may sound ridiculous. After all, there are so many places to publish and so little time to do it. Why would I start another project?
Because I want to do it for you, I want to write something sincere at the moment and can provide insight into the following steps and the reality you want to go with writing and self-publishing.
I am starting a Substack Newsletter.
I am doing this for two reasons. First, I am joining in on the Coffee Challenge Six. Second, I have felt like so many writers share their positive experiences with self-publishing but don’t pull back the curtain to show the complex reality.
My goal is to provide an honest behind-the-scenes of my self-publishing and writing efforts.
These posts will be in the form of letters. As if I was handwriting them and sending them to you in the mail. They will be encouraging but straightforward. Have links to the different things I am working on.
But most of all, I will try to give a simple, authentic look into the world I am creating around me for writing and self-publishing. We are not alone in our writing efforts. And I strive to help connect with you through this project.
An Invitation
I want to invite you to join me in my Substack Newsletter. I won’t send you something every day, and it won’t simply be a newsletter full of links to my other articles.
It will be my communication to you so that we can connect. And so we can share our writing and authoring experiences.
So, what do you say? Will you join me in this new project?
This is J.R. Heimbigner Writes, a newsletter about The pursuit of writing, self-publishing, and becoming an author.
